AT THE HEART

From a young age, nature had a magnetic draw.

When I was young, the woods and streams surrounding home served as playground. Through idle wandering I came to appreciate nature’s elegant connectedness. A pull toward biology and earth sciences followed naturally and provided a way of unraveling and understanding the mysteries. In college and soon after, these interests gelled into awareness and concern for the environment setting the trajectory for my career.

Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to discover work that tapped into my passions. At the heart of my film, writing, and communications work has been a lifelong love affair with nature, a deep curiosity about science, an abiding belief in education, and alignment with organizations that strive to make a difference.
